We need to know a little bit more. What fish are already in the tank?
Well, I personally reccommend Rafael Catfishes.or you could probably get away with a couple of Corydoras Catfishes...they are much more active than most catfishes.
Kinda overstocked. A red-tailed shark is not a bottom feeder really. He has no cleaning duties. Loaches are more bottom feeders, but only some kuhlis will fit in that tank.
Little cat fish work. But the best bottom feeder to get is a pocostimus (the spelling of the name is wrong) They are a bottom feeded your local pet store will know what you need.get a baby one. They will grow to get rather large but most pet stores will let you trade in for a smaller one when the time comes.
Fish don't have jobs, so you can't expect anything out of them. If you need something to clean after your feedings, you probably need to feed them less food (cichlids are eager eaters and if you have food left over with them in the tank, you really really need to cut down!
It's probably best that you don't add anything until you sort your tanks out. The shark can go with the cichlids into a bigger tank, and then you can keep the tetras and gourami in the 20 gallon and get a compatible bottom dweller that WON'T outgrow the tank, like Corydora catfish, or shrimp.
you have to many fish in the tank now 20gal is not alot at anyone one time you probly only have 17 to 18 gals in there any way.
So im not going to say add anything else to it but what I will tell you is what ever your feeding them now cut that in half that alone will clean up your tank.
Your tank seems to full already, just try not to over feed and do weekly water changes and use a siphon to clean the gravel.
Honestly, you can't count on bottom feeders to clean your tank.
