I have a betta fish and red ear slider, and I am wondering if I can put them togther. Please help.

You can do it, as long as you don't mind the turtle killing your betta. It is a very bad idea to mix RE sliders with any fish that you want to keep.
The Betta will be food for the Red Ear Slider turtle
That would be a bad idea!! Fish are one of the main food groups for sliders.
